New School Record: Congratulations to sophomore, Parker Arbuthnot, for breaking the 1-mile school record at the meet in Lamar today. He ran the 1 mile in 4:40.67. The previous record of 4.43.51 was set in 2007 by Bradley Orebaugh. Way to go Parker!

Lamar Community College is excited to invite high school students to participate on March 25 @ 7:00 PM in "A Shot of Reality", an engaging and transformative program designed for students. This unique opportunity combines impactful discussions, valuable insights, and real-life experiences to empower students to make informed decisions about the dangers of alcohol. Parents are encouraged to take their students. Through this thought-provoking presentation, participants will gain tools to navigate difficult decisions about alcohol and develop critical skills that will benefit them far beyond their high school years.

@Southeast Colorado Vet Clinic got a real project coming out of our CTE classrooms this week! Dr. Birdsong's granddaughter designed & created this wooden burnt sign for the clinic. Many students leave our programs with OSHA 10 & other certifications helping them be ready for the work force or future education!

Elementary students did a lot of estimating on 100 Day. 10 elementary students and 3 jh girls were recognized for having 100 AR points by 100 Day. Kindergarten students dressed as 100 years old and 1st grade through high school dressed as a color of the rainbow.

100 Day was Monday, March 10th! We had such a fun day!! Ms. Oliver, student council & the leadership class had fun activities and a beautiful balloon arch for the elementary to enjoy!!
